For this job as a Buyer, the Buyer will work out of the companies’ plant near Jackson, Michigan. The Buyer will be in charge of generating and managing the quotation request process on a PLEX system. This role will also be heavily involved with preparing comprehensive quote packages, which will involve a great deal of cross department input from the Engineering and Sales departments. However what is most important to this client is finding a candidate who is able to both establish new relationships and maintain supplier compliance with current processes. This role has no direct reports.

Jackson Buyer Job Opening

  • The Buyer will be in charge of identify, evaluate, and approve future suppliers that will add quality to the company.
  • For this job, the Buyer will be the primary lead in supplier cost negotiations. It will be expected that there will be a continued intent to contain or reduce supplier costs.
  • In accordance with the negotiation of supplier contracts, the Buyer will be in charge of any resolution of invoice price discrepancies.
  • This job will also work closely with logistics personnel to ensure the supply of products continues without hitch.
