We are seeking an experienced Civil Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth, develop customer relationships, and expand business opportunities within the civil construction market. This role will focus on developing regional sales strategies, identifying new opportunities, supporting customers with technical solutions, and building long-term partnerships while achieving sales and revenue objectives.
Position Responsibilities
Regional Sales Strategy
- Develop and execute sales strategies for the assigned civil construction market.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and new business opportunities.
- Establish regional sales goals and action plans to achieve business objectives.
- Monitor competitive activity and provide relevant market insights.
Business Development
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Build relationships with contractors, engineers, distributors, project owners, and other industry stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Conduct presentations, product demonstrations, and customer meetings.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Understand project requirements and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
- Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate with internal teams to address technical or service needs.
- Support customers throughout the sales process and maintain long-term partnerships.
Sales Performance & Reporting
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and territory performance updates.
- Track opportunities, customer activity, and progress toward sales objectives.
- Maintain accurate information in CRM and sales management systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales performance and market penetration.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, marketing, customer service, and other internal teams.
- Communicate customer feedback and market intelligence to support product and service improvements.
- Assist with pricing, proposals, bids, and other commercial activities as needed.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in sales, business development, or account management within the civil construction or related industry.
- Knowledge of civil construction products, applications, projects, and industry practices.
- Proven ability to develop customer relationships and generate new business.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business software.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned region as needed.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Certified Professional Sales Person (CPSP).
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Relevant construction, sales, or business development certifications.
