We are seeking an experienced Plant Superintendent to oversee key manufacturing operations and ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production. This role will provide leadership across production, blending, circular economy activities, and production scheduling while driving operational performance, employee engagement, quality, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities
Plant Operations
- Oversee the efficient operation of blending, production, circular economy activities, and production scheduling.
- Establish and implement cost-effective production methods while meeting customer expectations.
- Ensure production objectives are achieved while maintaining quality, delivery, and safety standards.
- Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain accountability for the health and safety of direct and indirect reports.
- Champion a safe working environment and reinforce compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Identify, correct, or report safety and operational violations through appropriate channels.
- Promote a culture where employees actively participate in maintaining a safe workplace.
Team Leadership & Engagement
- Lead, coach, and support employees in a respectful and collaborative environment.
- Drive employee engagement, productivity, and accountability.
- Promote diversity and inclusion throughout the plant.
- Reinforce organizational values and principles of conduct and action.
Quality & Customer Delivery
- Ensure products meet established quality standards and customer expectations.
- Support on-time delivery objectives while maintaining safe and efficient operations.
- Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, cost efficiency, and operational performance.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies to manufacturing operations.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.
- Perform additional duties and activities as required by business needs.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven managerial experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of production operations, scheduling, and process improvement.
- Strong communication skills across electronic, verbal, team, and presentation environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and employee engagement.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Master’s degree in Business Management or a related field.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Statistical Process Control (SPC) certification or training.
- Kaizen or continuous improvement certification.
- Root Cause Analysis training or certification.
- OSHA 30-Hour certification.
- Engineering or Project Management certification.
