Customer Service Representative Job Opening Detroit Michigan

There is an job opening for a customer service representative in the metro Detroit, Michigan area for an industry-leading automotive components manufacturer.

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for upholding strong and satisfying relationships with both new and current customers. The representative will act as a point of contact between the customers, warehouses, and sales team. The customer service representative will need to constantly strive to improve service processes and knowledge of products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The CSR is responsible for facilitating communication between the customers and sales team when it comes to customer questions, quotations, order fulfillment, pricing, shipping, and other matters
  • Keep the supervisor posted on spacial products or purchasing orders. The CSR will also redirect difficult customers to the supervisor, if so required
  • Uphold great relationships with customers, including rapid and precise processing of information
  • Let the supervisor know of any variances in the relationships between the company and the customers in order to keep sales team on track to meet sales metrics
  • The Customer Service Representative must stay alert to the demands of the customers and clients and keep them informed of any possible delays in production
  • The Customer Service Representative maintain professional courtesy and formality when conducting customer and intradepartmental phone calls
  • The CSR will facilitate contact between the client and the engineering team
  • Make sure that preparation time is given to the customer in order to corroborate with the scheduling and timing of the plant
  • This position must collaborate with the shipping team to make sure that the proper quantities of items are accounted for for production
  • The Customer Service Representative must make sure that all data in the sales order is accurate and entered into the company’s database correctly
  • Keeps up on orders to make sure the customer receives it on time
  • Acquire samples of faulty parts from customers if they are in question
  • The Customer Service Representative will also perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Main Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) (post-secondary education preferred)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a customer service role
  • Experience in the automotive sector
  • Adept ability with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • No travel is required for this position
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle difficult customers and adapt to various situations
  • Great communication skills (written and verbal) are required

Detroit Maintenance Manager Overview: 

This job will be primarily be responsible for heading up the maintenance department of the company at the Detroit, Michigan plant. The Maintenance Manager will be greatly contributing to the development of employees within the department. The Maintenance Manager will need to upkeep all of the equipment within the Detroit, Michigan plant by utilizing tool and die knowledge and preventative maintenance techniques and plans.

Detroit Maintenance Manager Job Opening

  • The Maintenance Manager will need to support all shop safety policies and procedures in order to help prevent  shop accidents and injuries.
  • The role will be establishing preventative maintenance plans and will guide the maintenance department towards staying on schedule.
  • The position will need to utilize spare parts and tool and die knowledge in order to be able to repair the equipment within the Detroit plant.
  • The Maintenance Manager also be using maintenance and upkeep to help improve manufacturing processes within the plant.
  • The role will need to fix machines like transfer dies, stamping machines, punching presses, stamping presses, milling machines, and drilling machines.
  • The position will correspond with other departments, such as engineering, quality, and management, in order to communicate equipment issues and keep production going.
  • The Maintenance Manager will take on other duties at the Detroit plant as assigned.
Maintenance Manager (Detroit Area) Job Requirements: 
  • The Maintenance Manager is going to need to be very technical and technically minded in order to solve upkeep problems with the machines.
  • The position will require at least seven years of experience working in a maintenance role in a manufacturing facility.
  • The role will need a great attention-to-detail in order to determine problems with machines or equipment within the manufacturing facility.
  • A “continuous improvement” mindset, as well as a desire to mentor workers to do better.
  • “Hands-on” experience, as well as demonstrated leadership experience.
