The Senior Process Engineer will observe, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes within the Detroit facility. This position will require the Process Engineer to use statistical and mathematical tools to measure the efficiency of different processes in order to make suggestions for improvements.

- The Senior Process Engineer will lead in the observation and evaluation of manufacturing processes within the Detroit facility.
- Lead in the design, planning, and implementation of new manufacturing processes.
- Research and suggest equipment improvements that would benefit the efficiency of the manufacturing processes.
- The Senior Process Engineer will ensure that all new processes meet all safety and quality requirements by interfacing with appropriate personnel.
- Perform studies regularly, ensure that proper maintenance measures are taken.
- Keep record of manufacturing process designs.
- Work with production personnel to understand their thoughts on the manufacturing process.
- The Senior Process Engineer will plan, prepare, and lead trainings for all new process implementations with appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about the manufacturing industry, emerging technologies, trends, and new innovations that could improve the efficiency of manufacturing processes in the Detroit facility.
- Perform other functions as directed.
Senior Process Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- A four-year degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering from an accredited institution, or comparable on the job experience.
- At least seven years of experience in a process engineering position.
- Familiar with statistical, mathematical, and other process measurement or evaluation tools.
- Experience with six sigma and lean manufacturing principles, certification preferred.
- Familiar with AutoCAD and other drafting software.
- Good with computers, familiar with Microsoft office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
- A good communicator, written and verbal.
- Comfortable mentoring and coaching other personnel.
- Proven leadership ability.
- A proven ability to manage projects under budget and on time, PMP certification would be preferred.
