  • Create and edit CNC codes for turning, milling, and end working.
  • The Manufacturing Engineer will partner with Quality staff to troubleshoot tooling and process concerns.
  • Investigate new tooling or process methods.
  • The Manufacturing Engineer must design processes to meet all quality standards in addition to internal, industry, and government safety standards.
  • The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with other personnel in the company to understand and meet customer expectations.
Manufacturing Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited university is required for this job.
  • Four years of job experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
  • Previous job experience working in an automotive company, additonal past machining experience is preferable.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
  • A demonstrated job history of project management leading to successful results.
  • Exceptional CAD and 3D modeling skills.
  • Able to read technical manuals, instructions, and blueprints.
  • Solidworks experience or similar software experience is preferable.
  • Thorough understanding of G&M codes and CNC programming.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional organization skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset yet able to work independently.

Detroit Sales Engineer Overview: 

The Detroit Sales Engineer will be selling powertrain packaging products to automotive OEM customers. This job candidate does not necessarily need an engineering degree, but attention to and understanding of technical details will be requisite for this job. Additionally, an ideal job candidate will have previous job experience selling plastic/packaging products to customers who are engineers or have a more refined understanding of technical details.

Detroit Sales Engineer Job Opening

  • Able to deliver quotes to customers in a prompt and accurate manner.
    • Receive sales quote request from assigned customers.
    • Analyze and understand customers’ design specifications and expectations.
    • Evaluate specifications to set a strategy, price, and terms for delivery with the customer.
  • Establish and bolster relationships with customers at all levels of the customer organization (engineering, purchasing, management, plant staff).
  • Close sales within the assigned region in order to meet sales budget and business needs.
  • Introduce potential and target customers to the company and products. Gather information to understand customer needs and provide them with information on how the company can meet those needs.
  • Keep regular and consistent correspondence with the President of the company regarding the status of sales quotes and accounts.
  • Establish and nurture positive professional relationships with personnel at customer companies.
  • Keep regular communication with other internal departments such as engineering, operations, and accounting so that they are familiar with customer needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal personnel regarding customer expectations, competitor offerings, and other pertinent developments.
  • Serve as an advocate and proponent of the company image and objectives both internally and to customers.
  • Collaborate with the President in developing sales plans for the assigned market.
  • Travel to meet customers and deliver sales presentations.
Sales Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, plastics or packaging major is preferable or another technical discipline for this job.
  • At least five years experience selling engineering products, preferably plastic packaging or dunnage.
  • Proven history of closing sales with engineering customers, preferably in Detroit.
  • Proven work ethic.
  • Experience selling to automotive OEM customers is a significant plus.
  • Comfortable with and able to travel.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional knowledge of technical concepts related to the products.
