  • Take part in investigations after safety accidents, take measures to prevent any further accidents.
  • Keep record of all manufacturing configurations designed and implemented.

  • Proven commitment to safety.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt training and certification would be preferable for this job.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to manage many tasks, priorities, and appointments.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbally.
  • Able to work with personnel from the shop floor to senior management.
  • Excellent CAD and 3D modeling skills.
  • Familiar with OSHA regulations and standards.

This full-time position comes with a salary range of $90,000 to $125,000. The role requires travel (30%), with health care and retirement benefits provided.

Maintenance Planning Manager Job Opening in the Jackson, Georgia Area

A global industry leader is currently seeking a Maintenance Planning Manager for its production facility. The successful candidate will manage and design plans for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events. They will also ensure an effective system for processing and tracking work orders is in place and will oversee inspection and survey procedures to create an efficient preventative maintenance system. This is a full-time position with managerial responsibilities.

Maintenance Planning Manager Job Opening Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround plans.
  • Establish an efficient system for processing and tracking work orders.
  • Oversee inspection and survey procedures to create an effective preventative maintenance system.
  • Communicate with technicians, engineers, operations, and other managers to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Create planning and scheduling procedures to establish the least disruptive maintenance possible.
  • Oversee spare parts management, budget monitoring, and reporting.
  • Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs, ensuring that project/department milestones/goals are met and budgets are adhered to.
  • Have full authority for personnel actions including staffing, pay decisions, training, evaluation, and supervision.

Maintenance Planning Manager Job Opening Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related area as an individual contributor.
  • 1 – 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
  • Extensive knowledge of function and department processes.
  • Skills in equipment and facility maintenance, maintenance management, maintenance planning, preventive maintenance, safety inspections, total productive maintenance (TPM), troubleshooting, work order scheduling, maintenance inspection, and spare parts management.
  • Familiarity with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification is a plus.
