The SQA Engineer will work in the Quality Assurance department in Detroit, Michigan and report to the SQA Engineer, who is also based in Detroit.

  • The SQA Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert in Champion Problem Solving and work on emergency response for assigned suppliers.

  • A four year degree from an accredited college or university in engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills so as to convey issues to colleagues, managers, and suppliers.
  • Able to travel for up to 60% of on the job time. 60% of the travel will be local while the remaining forty percent of travel will be US and international travel.
  • Accelerated Advance Product Quality Planning skills, knowledge of quality tools, and an advanced familiarity with Core Tools.
  • Possession of an Internal Quality Auditor certification or an exceptional level of audit job experience.
  • An advanced understanding of Statistical Process Control principals.
  • Six Sigma training so as to properly understand the tools for analysis.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry so as to understand customers’ requirements and technical specifications.
  • A demonstrated experience with and familiarity with operations management systems such as (5s methodology, Trusted Platform Module, Lean manufacturing principles, etc.)
  • Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish would be strongly desired for this job.
  • Six Sigma certification would be desired for this job.
