Grand Rapids Quality Manager Overview:
The Grand Rapids Quality Manager will work to minimize non-conforming products and ensure that quality standards are up kept throughout the facility. The Quality Manager will lead quality personnel through activity plans and direction to assist with process development and quality compliance. The Grand Rapids Quality Manager will partner with plant process engineers to identify areas where improvements would benefit product quality. The Quality Manager will ensure that Quality personnel understand the verification processes and that all products are appropriately audited.
Grand Rapids Quality Manager Job Opening
- The Grand Rapids Quality Manager will assist as a team member on all projects concerning Quality Engineering.
- Lead quality personnel to ensure that proper procedures are carried out, particularly: test methods, risk analysis, statistical process control, statistical data analysis, and sample plans.
- Create and regularly updates risk management plans for all products and processes.
- The Grand Rapids Quality Manager will organize and perform all internal and external audits.
- Develop and refine procedures for effective product validation.
- Gather data and develop metrics to analyze the effectiveness of quality activities.
- The Grand Rapids Quality Manager will lead quality projects and activities.
- Lead investigations into quality errors, utilize experience and information to take future preventative actions.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to Quality Personnel.
- Ensure that all regulatory expectations are met within the facility.
Quality Manager (Grand Rapids Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in engineering or a closely related science from an accredited institution.
- At least two to five years of experience working in an automotive manufacturing facility.
- At least one to two years of quality management experience.
- Familiarity with typical quality management tools and procedures.
- Understanding of statistical process control.
- Management experience would be preferred for this job.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
