Detroit Controller Overview:

The chief responsibility for the Detroit based Controller is to manage all accounting operations for the facility. This will, amongst other things, include: billing, accounts receivable and payable, cost accounting, and financial analysis. The controller will also be expected to prepare a monthly funding plan which they may be asked to present to the President or CFO. The Controller will also be tasked with ensuring the continued compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. This role will require some international travel as the Detroit Controller may be asked to supervise the Mexico accounting team, although this will be only rarely.

Detroit Controller Job Opening

  • The Detroit based Controller will be in charge of the entire accounting functions of the Plant.
  • They will be in charge of both A/R and A/P departments and will be expected to make sure that accounts are in good order.
  • The controller may be asked to provide training to various different accounting departments as needed.
