Dallas Buyer Overview:
The Dallas Buyer will work with suppliers and potential suppliers to ensure that inventory levels maintain minimum levels. The Dallas Buyer will also partner with suppliers to negotiate prices and seek discounts. The Dallas Buyer will perform research on prospective suppliers and seek quotes. The Dallas Buyer will report to the purchasing manager.
Dallas Buyer Job Opening:
- The Dallas Buyer will work with suppliers to negotiate rates on products.
- Administer contracts with suppliers, ensuring that terms are delivered upon.
- Negotiate improved terms with suppliers when possible or necessary.
- The Dallas buyer will perform research to find alternative suppliers, attaining quotes, and negotiating contracts with the most advantageous rates.
- Work with suppliers to rectify issues when shipments have errors.
- Ensure that shipments arrive on time.
- The Dallas Buyer Interface between suppliers and facilities to ensure that issues are solved.
- Partner with other buyers to share information and share input on strategies.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of the companies product line.
- The Dallas Buyer will keep track of industry trends and adjust activities as necessary.
- Perform other duties at the direction of the purchasing manager.
Buyer (Dallas Area) Job Requirements:
- A four-year degree in business, supply chain, or a related area.
- At least four years of experience performing a purchasing function in a similar environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proven ability to be an active listener.
- A strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills.
- Able to manage a multitude of priorities simultaneously.
- Great problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
