Detroit Process Engineer Overview:
For this job, the Process Engineer will operate as a link between customers and the manufacturing team, ensuring customer satisfaction by generating operational plans that meet customer expectations for the product design and performance and meet company and industry regulations and standards. The Process Engineer will work on a variety of products including gearbox assemblies, detail gears, housings, and complete transmissions, utilizing a familiarity with precision aerospace components to drive the production of the specified product.

- Process Engineer receives and examines customer product designs, configurations and documents.
- The job verifies compliance with customer, company, and industry requirements.
- Process Engineer will perform the dimensional analysis to ensure proper function and assembly.
- The position will perform dimensional and tolerance stackups of all assigned customer products.
- The job evaluates the product design to provide operational plans for manufacturing.
- Process Engineer will function effectively as a team player to drive designs in the manufacturing stage of customer product development.
Process Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required for this job.
- This job requires experience with gears or similar precision components.
- For this position, experience working in Aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking ability and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analytically achieve effective product manufacturing solutions.
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
- The job requires the ability to work at the level of a senior design checker.
- Minimum five years related experience required for this position.
- Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stackups necessary for this position.
- CAD experience is required, AutoCAD and Inventor experience considered a plus.
