Chicago Advanced Quality Engineer Overview:
The Chicago Advanced Quality Engineer will develop process controls and keep documentation to ensure that the products meet company and customer standards. The Advanced Quality Engineer will partner with engineering to develop standards of reliability. The Chicago Advanced Quality Engineer will partner with other teams to ensure that quality standards are met consistently and to investigate issues.
Chicago Advanced Quality Engineer Job Opening:
- The Chicago Advanced Quality Engineer will partner with members of other departments to understand customer needs and develop plans to reach those requirements.
- Develop a plan to meet customer requirements through preparing PPAP processes.
- Diagnose and solve technical issues within the facility, identifying the core cause of problems.
- The Chicago Advance Quality Engineer will take part in the process to determine the quality risks in product and processes.
- Take part in the process validation events, create plans for process control.
- Develop and update quality assurance plans, standard procedures for testing quality, and reporting results.
- The Chicago Advance Quality Engineer will train more junior associates and provide mentorship.
Advanced Quality Engineer (Chicago Area) Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of five years of progressive experience in an engineering or quality role.
- Familiar with ISO 9000 quality management system.
- Very familiar with metrology and GD&T.
- Previous exposure to problem-solving systems such as Root Cause Analysis, six sigma, and other systems.
- A strong, analytical thought pattern. Able to identify and solve problems creatively.
- Familiar with continuous improvement systems and familiar with implementation processes.
