- Perform all data entry duties for customer and order information in the company ERP system promptly after the data is acquired.
- Develop and present sales quotes for customer inquiries.
- The New York City Technical Sales Associate will gather and consistently improve understanding of assigned customers’ products and their industries in order to provide the most persuasive solutions.
- Perform all sales functions in a prompt and efficient manner. Respond to inquiries and questions with a reasonable turn around.
- Communicate regularly with the Production department to make sure orders are on time.
- The New York City Technical Sales Associate will represent the company at trade shows as necessary.
- Regularly communicate with customers providing quotes, updates on orders, and explore new business opportunities.
- The New York City Technical Sales Associate will interface regularly with accounting and engineering departments in order to provide the most accurate quotes.
- Complete other projects as requested.
Technical Sales Associate (New York City Area) Job Requirements:
- A four-year degree in a technical discipline, a degree in a discipline within engineering would be preferred.
- Two to four years of experience with manufacturing or technical sales.
- Familiar with ERP systems.
- Good with Microsoft Office Suite of Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Etc.)
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional mathematical skills.
- Command of technical terms and concepts.
- A team-oriented personality, willing to perform tasks and assignments outside of required duties to benefit the business.
- Great multitasking, prioritizing, and organizational skills. Able to handle multiple projects at once.
- A proven problem solver.
- Logical, analytic thinker.
- Able to communicate and work comfortably .
