FBA Shipping & Receiving Clerk Job Opening in the North Hollywood, California Area

The chosen individual for this role will oversee the inbound receiving and outbound shipping departments. A focus on increasing operational efficiency, minimizing waste, and ensuring a safe working environment will be paramount.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Collaborate with procurement teams to anticipate upcoming deliveries.
  • Receive and sign off on shipments upon arrival.
  • Efficiently unload packages/freight from incoming delivery vehicles.
  • Inspect package contents for damage or discrepancies.
  • Ensure merchandise aligns with orders and invoices in terms of quantity, quality, and other specifications.
  • Draft receiving reports to enable procurement teams to request credit from vendors or distributors when necessary.
  • Label and appropriately store incoming deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records and actively assist in inventory management.
  • Handle and process product orders ensuring accuracy.
  • Examine outbound shipments for content correctness.
  • Evaluate outbound pallets for optimal preparation, ensuring the integrity of pallet condition and wrapping.
  • Coordinate and plan logistics for large shipments, ensuring ample storage space for incoming goods.
  • Maintain records of all shipped and received goods.
  • Draft periodic reports on shipping and receiving activities for managerial review.
  • Address and resolve issues related to shipping or inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental management protocols and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse leadership position managing hourly staff.
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehouse procedures and policies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities coupled with strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across different levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable providing regular, direct feedback both in writing and orally.

The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor looks over the reception of all inbound and outbound products in the warehouse. This person must develop and maintain a lively work culture and monitor production in order to make sure that workflow continues throughout the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

  • The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor must enhance relationships with the logistics staff in order to ensure prompt and precise communication that entails resolving shortages, overages, product discrepancies, and ASN issues
  • Take part in creating tools and analyzing data in order to predict workload and prepare resources needed to optimize production and efficiency
  • Make sure that proper scanning and placement of cases in a prompt manner in line with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Uphold the documents involved with inbound and outbound tracking
  • Train the logistics team in every aspect of shipping and receiving, as well as informing other departments of standard warehouse procedures
  • Participate in meetings so that the Operations staff establishing priorities and upholding unceasing communication between the different warehouse teams
  • Help to safeguard and maintain the company’s equipment, inventory, and operations
  • Maintain partnerships with other departments and teams in order to figure out and resolve logistical issues and create a resolution in order to meet service requirements and exceed expectations
  • Upkeep a safe and healthy work culture and participate in the company’s safety programs
  • Help train and select qualified workers. Work with the Manager of Operations and HR in regards to performance reviews, interviews and hiring, terminations, and corrective actions within the distribution center
  • Keep the work environment secure and unsullied to comply with the regulations of OSHA

An event planning manufacturing company is seeking a qualified individual to fill the Operations Manager job opening in the greater Detroit, Michigan area. JMJ Phillip’s event planning recruiters are seeking a strong Operations Manager to join a growing team. The Detroit Operations Manager job will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of an event planning supply company. This job will require the tracking of inventory, scheduling delivery and retrieval, fleet management, and procuring rental equipment.  Detroit Operations Manager Overview:

The Detroit, Michigan Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring event rental equipment is accounted for, delivered on time, and retrieved after the event. Most commonly the Operations Manager will be scheduling events and managing the staff setting up events. Additionally, the Operations Manager will manage, train, and onboard new staff members. The position also requires the Operations Manager to potentially identify and secure new business opportunities for the organization. The Detroit Operations Manager must also assist in the creation and preparation of the budget for the organization. Furthermore, the job will require executing against both the organizations short- and long-term strategic objectives. In addition to these responsibilities the Operations Manager may also be tasked with identify and engage potential new clients to further grow the business.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
