We are seeking an accomplished engineering manager with a strong background in leading technical teams, driving innovation, and implementing manufacturing excellence strategies. This role is responsible for setting and executing the engineering vision while supporting daily operations, talent development, and continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a deep understanding of manufacturing systems, Industry 4.0 integration, and cross-functional alignment.
Position Responsibilities
Technical Leadership and Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of the site’s technical strategy in collaboration with plant and global teams
- Ensure alignment with engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, and customer service teams
- Provide engineering expertise and project leadership across metal seal product lines and associated manufacturing systems
Team Development and Talent Management
- Mentor and develop engineers to enhance technical depth and cross-functional collaboration
- Build and maintain a complete engineering skill matrix to support current and future business needs
- Foster a constructive and growth-focused environment for technical staff
Industry 4.0 and Innovation
- Develop and implement Industry 4.0 technologies including sensing, data dashboards, IoT, machine learning, RPA, and digital twin solutions
- Drive digital transformation and support manufacturing intelligence and automation initiatives
Continuous Improvement and Change Management
- Act as a change agent to promote a continuous improvement culture aligned with WCM and lean manufacturing principles
- Lead and participate in improvement projects to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality
- Support training and coaching of plant teams in engineering and process-related improvements
Engineering Project Execution
- Oversee product and process development from design to implementation
- Manage engineering activities related to tooling, materials, production systems, and equipment
- Monitor progress of projects and adjust as necessary to ensure achievement of business goals
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 3 years of management experience leading technical teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong business acumen, communication, and technical problem-solving skills
- Experience using CAD tools such as SolidWorks
- Proven success leading implementation of systems thinking and engineering initiatives
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Industry 4.0 or Smart Manufacturing Certifications
What the Role Offers
- Competitive salary range from $102,000 to $158,000 annually
- Target bonus of 13% of base salary, based on company and individual performance
- Total target cash compensation between $115,200 and $178,500
