Nashville Quality Engineer Overview:
The Quality Engineer, located in the greater Nashville, Tennessee area, will inspect incoming parts from suppliers to ensure they are of adequate quality for assembly and that they match drawings. The Nashville, Tennessee region-based Quality Engineer will also assist the production team in all quality matters to ensure that the final product is of the highest quality for the customer. This includes the creation of inspection records for the supplier and customer as well as the creation of AQP plans. Nashville Quality Engineer Job Opening
- This job required assuring all parts supplied meet customer quality standards. This may include matching parts to drawings and using hand operated measurements to ensure product matching.
- This role also assists production team members to confirm that the final product is in line with customer expectations and needs.
- The Quality Engineer will also generate a control plan for incoming part inspections and prototype quality inspections.
- This job will act as a modality of communication between customer and suppliers to ensure that the final product meets customer needs.
- The Quality Engineer will review and approve supplier PPAP and create customer PPAPs.
Quality Engineer (Nashville Area) Job Requirements:
- This job requires a bachelor’s degree in an engineering or a related field.
- Five years experience in Quality Engineering is also required, with
aumotive industry experience preferred. - Prior knowledge of quality management methods
are also expected, including APQP, PPAP, MSA, and SPC among others. - This job will also require the ability to manage and negotiate with suppliers and customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital for this role.
