The Tooling Engineer will work from the Detroit corporate office to design tooling for new products and modify the tooling for existing goods. The Tooling Engineer will consistently and periodically evaluate tooling to improve processes. This job will also involve some sourcing duties as they relate to the tooling. Detroit Tooling Engineer Job Opening

  • The Detroit Tooling Engineer must lead the sourcing process for tooling in Detroit.
  • Design, build, and maintain tooling. Establish processes for tooling design and implementation in the Detroit plant.
  • Negotiate with vendors on pricing of materials for tooling.
  • Complete product reviews related to tooling and manufacturing.
  • Estimate the cost of products based on tooling costs.

  • For the job, the Tooling Engineer must evaluate and improve tooling drawings.
  • Evaluate product designs and make suggestions for improvements for the Detroit manufacturing process.
  • Take part in cost reduction projects and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in studies to determine new product opportunities.
  • Participate in tool tryouts and production start ups.
Tooling Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of associate’s degree from an accredited institution or comparable experience in injection mold engineering or design is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution would be preferable for this Detroit job.
  • Three to five years of experience designing and modifying plastic injection molds on the job.
  • A high level of proficiency with 3D CAD software such as Pro-E, Catia, Solidworks, or other such programs.
  • The Tooling Engineer must have experience with Moldflow software for this job.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Great communication skills in person, over the phone, and through writing.
  • Demonstrated history of excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Supplier Quality Engineer (Jackson Area) Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s of science degree in engineering, mechanical engineering degree or industrial engineering would be preferred for this job.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, word, outlook, powerpoint).
  • A minimum of between two and five years of experience in a quality engineering job in an automotive-industry related company.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail; able to create, implement, and maintain systems.

  • Understanding of HVAC systems or experience working for an HVAC company would be beneficial.

This individual will both develop and execute initiatives across the board to streamline production, ensure the health and safety of workers, lower costs, and increase product output in this job. The Denver, Colorado Operations Director should be prepared to wear many hats, interacting with various sectors of the company in order to ensure that they are operating at peak performance and promoting leadership capabilities in newer employees. This individual in this job must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment both on the manufacturing floor and when traveling between sites. Someone who enjoys travel, excels at communicating with everyone from customers to machinists, and enjoys tackling difficult and unexpected issues will thrive in this job.

Denver Operations Director Job Opening

  • The Denver, Colorado Operations Director should have excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • This individual should thrive under pressure and have excellent judgment.
  • The Denver, Colorado Operations Director will be responsible not only for overseeing production but also building strong teams within the organization.
  • This individual must be able to manage customer and vendor expectations, as well as those of their coworkers.
  • The Denver, Colorado Operations Director should expect to travel often between sites.

Operations Director (Denver Area) Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s engineering is necessary for this job, a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • This job requires at least 15 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing functions such as CAPEX is required.
  • Experience with multi-site management will be helpful for this position.
  • This job requires at least 50% travel.

Job Salary Range: USD $150,000 to $200,000
