This Birmingham, Alabama company is looking to add talented, enthusiastic Project Engineers to the Birmingham department to help maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction. They are looking for a job candidate to help in the Birmingham, Alabama engineering department and this job candidate will be working closely with other departments at the Birmingham site to ensure maximum production and quality.

Birmingham Project Engineer Overview:

The Project Engineer will be mainly responsible for being a liaison for customers concerning the products that the company carries. This job will also deal a lot with project planning, scheduling, and cost and resource preparation. While dealing with customers, this individual must have exceptional communication skills and even better social skills to develop new and keep current relationships running smoothly at the Birmingham, Alabama site.

Birmingham Project Engineer Job Opening

  • The Project Engineer will apply manufacturing principles and methods to develop processes that will excel the movement of material throughout the manufacturing facilities at the Birmingham, Alabama site.
  • Must execute engineering work and communicate it with the department for customer specifications for various job orders.
  • Ability to concept cost effective solutions to customer changes and/or requirements as quickly as possible and in the most efficient way.
  • The Project Engineer will attend meetings with customers as well as walkthroughs and design reviews when needed for various jobs..
  • Ability to coordinate review meetings regarding designs as required.
  • The Project Engineer must be able to develop comprehensive layouts and details for installation and fabrication of products.
  • Must have an urgency to learn and always be working to complete goals and objectives by being very well organized.
  • The Project Engineer must be able to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize these projects in order to meet milestones that are scheduled.
  • Must be a genuine team member who works well with all aspects of other individuals including customers, company management and the project team as well as being able to work well independently.
  • The Project Engineer must be familiar with the procedures used in purchasing and tracking engineering budgets.
  • Must provide on-site engineering when required by each project.
Project Engineer (Birmingham Area) Job Requirements:
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required for this job.
  • At least 5 years of job experience in engineering designing and implementing heavy equipment systems or the machine and tools industry.
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills both verbal and written as well as great organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment for this job.
  • Proficiency in the program “AutoCAD” and Microsoft Office products.
  • Background knowledge or experience with “Inventor”, “Solid Edge”, and other 3D software is recommended.
