Detroit Supply Chain Analyst Overview:
The Supply Chain Analyst must identify underperforming areas of the company’s supply chain and recommend solutions as to how to improve issues. The Supply Chain Analyst may assist the Detroit area’s Supply Chain Manager in the negotiation of contracts with suppliers and service agreements. This role must determine complexities in the supply chain and find ways to simplify them. The Supply Chain Analyst will not have a managerial role, but he or she will be expected to work with company logisticians and other supply chain roles to optimally perform supply chain projects. For this job, the Supply Chain Analyst will report to the Supply Chain Manager at the greater Detroit, Michigan site.
Detroit Supply Chain Analyst Job Opening
- The Supply Chain Analyst will monitor the company’s supply chain while working out of the metro Detroit, Michigan location to determine areas for improvement.
- Communicate with different departments within the organization when conducting solutions for supply chain solutions.
- Oversee customer SKU metrics and scrap analysis.
- Create supply chain performance metrics and ensure that the other supply chain functions adhere to them.
- There is 10-15% travel outside of greater Detroit, Michigan required for this job.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.
Supply Chain Analyst (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- A 4-year degree in a supply chain or a business-related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a supply chain or a logistics-related field.
- Familiarity to lean manufacturing concepts.
- Experience with MRP systems.
