Detroit Michigan Sales Engineer Overview: 

The Sales Engineer is responsible for initiating and closing deals with existing and new clients. The Sales Engineer will be developing new customers and markets for several products in Michigan such as fasteners. The Sales Engineer will also be increasing sales revenue by growing within the existing customer base along with select prospecting targets. The right candidate for the job will have extensive knowledge of industrial supplies and fasteners preferably from previous sales work experience. The Sales Engineer must always present a professional image of the company to any existing or potential clients.

Detroit Michigan Sales Engineer Job Opening 

• The Sales Engineer must achieve sales, new business and gross margin objectives as established by the sales department.
• The Sales Engineer will dedicated 80% of time to field sales calls, either cold calls or scheduled phone calls.
• 60% of sales calls will be in pursuit of account penetration and new business with existing customers in addition to new prospects.
• The Sales Engineer performs all duties related to the sale of products and services to targeted prospects and clients at the plant and corporate level.
• The Sales Engineer is required to attend all training programs as needed, seek out additional opportunities for learning, and promote teamwork, cooperation, and further learning across internal departments. 

Sales Engineer (Detroit Michigan Area) Job Requirements: 

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, finance or a related field.
• Must have a minimum of three to seven years of industrial sales or account management experience.
• Must have prior experience promoting industrial supplies, fasteners, or similar consumable mechanical components into target market.
• This job requires familiarity with manufacturing environments and comfort in plant atmospheres.
• Experience working with major, national organizations is preferred.
• This job requires a stable, coherent work history.
