The Detroit Senior Engineer will lead projects and provide engineering expertise on other projects. Additionally, the Senior Engineer will serve as a resource and mentor for more junior engineers.

Detroit Senior Engineer Job Opening:

  • The Detroit Senior Engineer will receive specifications and needs for equipment in order to develop designs for components and assembled equipment.
  • Perform design and validation processes on products within customers’ specifications.
  • Ensure that all components of products also meet specifications and all quality standards.
  • The Detroit Senior engineer will lead in the evaluation and testing for products and components to check and ensure compliance with certification agencies’ standards.
  • Lead and complete individual design projects as directed by management.
  • Lead engineering projects as assigned, develop project plans and assign tasks to complete objectives before deadlines.
  • The Detroit Senior Engineer will work as a part of project teams and will perform assigned tasks to ensure the objectives are reached on time.
  • Assist customer sales as necessary.
Senior Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
  • A four year degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
  • At least five years of industrial experience designing HVAC products and components.
  • Familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs such as Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
  • A deep familiarity with the theory and practice of mechanical design.
  • Exceptional technical skills.
  • Understanding of air conditioning and refrigeration systems would be preferable.
  • Familiarity with specifications and standards common to the HVAC industry.
  • Familiarity with APQP principles for manufacturing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and follow work plans.
