Detroit Quality Engineer Overview:
For this job, the Quality Engineer will give engineering experience and support to all of the Detroit, Michigan plant’s business functions. In addition, he or she will need to work cross-functionally across a wide variety of departments (safety, sales, production, customer service) in order to further the goals of the organization. Additionally, the Quality Engineer will facilitate strong relationships with colleagues, as the role demands cooperation in a team-oriented environment. For this job, there will be no one reporting directly to the Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer will report to the Quality Assurance Manager at the Detroit, Michigan site.
Detroit Quality Engineer Job Opening
- The Quality Engineer will report actively participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning meetings.
- For this job, he or she must additionally collaborate with team members in coming up with quality plans in order to sustain the high standard of quality that the company’s clients demand.
- The Quality Engineer will run quality tests at the Detroit, Michigan plant.
- The Quality Engineer will also contribute to interfacing with customers and getting their requirements for manufactured parts.
- The role will work regularly with the APQP team on-site at the Detroit, Michigan location.
Quality Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- A 4-year degree in an engineering or technical field is strongly preferred for this role.
- If the job candidate has no degree, then a minimum of 4 years of experience in quality engineering and manufacturing are required.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and APQP.
- GD&T knowledge and medical device manufacturing knowledge.
