Boston Operations Manager Overview:
The Boston Operations Manager reports directly to the VP of operations. The Boston Operations Manager will manager and oversee all operations within the facility. The Operations Manager will oversee and direct the functions of warehousing, transportation, storage, inventory, and crating. The Boston Operations Manager will consistently monitor progress against the business plan and financial goals for the facility.

- The Boston Operations Manager assists in developing regional and local plans and strategies for the business.
- Creates processes and procedures for the facility to reach business wide objectives and financial bench marks.
- Develop plans and execute them in order to meet benchmarks of effectiveness and productivity.
- The Boston Operations Manager will oversee the operational budget, analyzing key factors and instituting changes to stay within budget.
- Directly supervise fifteen to twenty staff members.
- Notice requirements for staffing and take part in the selection of new staff members.
Operations Manager (Boston Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in a field of supply chain, business, or a related field from an accredited university.
- At least six to eight years of experience in an operational role for a company that regularly deals with expensive and fragile material.
- At least three to five years of experience in a management or supervisory position with direct and indirect reports.
- A proven history of strong collaboration with customers and management to provide the highest level of service while also managing the operational goals and business needs of the organization.
- At least three to four years of experience overseeing a profit center.
- Strong Communication skills, able to positively influence others.
- Excellent service provider skills.
- Strong organizational skills, able to perform work according to schedules and concurrent timelines in a high paced, dynamic environment.
- Able to meet responsibilities with little direction.
- Strong leadership skills, a proven ability to train and develop a staff.
- Strong familiarity with the Microsoft office suite of products, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
