Boston Plant Manager Overview:
The Boston Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing plant operations. The Plant Manager will direct management and production supervisors in a variety of capacities to keep the plant functioning in the most efficient and cost effective manner. The Plant Manager will work with process engineers to find ways to improve plant production. The Plant Manager will also work with staff to ensure the plant is a safe working environment and will implement procedures to minimize accidents.

- The Boston Plant Manager will be provide direction to management and production supervisors.
- Analyze production performance metrics in order to evaluate plant functions and identify areas for improvement.
- Regularly meet with departmental leaders to gather their ideas for potential improvements.
- The Boston Plant Manager will oversee accident investigations and rectify issues to make the facility as safe as possible.
- Foster a culture of safety and quality by ensuring all staff are properly trained during onboarding and that staff are trained whenever processes change.
- Oversee quality investigations when customers report products that do not meet quality expectations.
- The Boston Plant Manager will take part in the hiring process for senior staff and management, provide input during the selection process.
- Provide feedback to managers, highlight areas of improvement, and re-enforce positive behavior.
- Terminate employees as necessary and appropriate.
Plant Manager (Boston Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in business or a related field from an accredited university.
- At least 9 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
- At least five years of management experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with beverage manufacturing and beverage packaging preferable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive outlook and enthusiastic personality, able to positively influence others.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with personnel from the top to bottom of the organization.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or other process improvement training.
- Able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
