The Columbus Program Quality Engineer will work to implement and uphold the proper quality procedures so that products meet customer quality requirements. The Program Quality Manager will work with manufacturing engineers and other associates to investigate and diagnose quality issues.
Columbus Program Quality Engineer Job Opening:
- The Columbus Program Quality Engineer will oversee the process of quality investigations.
- Perform analysis of products rejected for quality issues, develop a plan for solving issues, and make reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Work with customers to understand their unique requirements.
- The Columbus Program Quality Engineer will develop and maintain documents related to quality investigations and quality programs.
- Serve as a partner with customers and other external parties throughout the process of quality investigations.
- Perform data collection, investigate data, and create reports based on findings.
- The Columbus Program Quality Manager will develop and gather info on metrics to present customers and internal stakeholders.
Program Quality Engineer (Columbus Area) Job Requirements:
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree in the field of engineering.
- At least five years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably automotive or aerospace.
- Previous experience implementing, overseeing, or updating an APQP or PPAP quality process.
- Familiar with Lean Six Sigma programs of continuous improvement.
- Previous experience working in a facility with ISO 9000 quality standards.
- Good communication skills, able to work on a team with little supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to perform a variety of mathematical calculations relevant to quality investigations.
- Familiar with tools common in quality investigations and checks.
