Ann Arbor Area Director of Engineering Overview:

This job requires a Director of Engineering candidate who has a strong background designing and maintaining different industrial components. The ideal candidate will have experience with all functions of the product design and release process, from marketing, purchasing, and sales etc. A competitive candidate will also be familiar with listing agencies such as UL. Knowledge of motors and related electrical components, and HVAC systems will also be viewed in a positive light.   • Test and evaluate compressors and components to ensure certification and continued compliance
  • Coordinate project work internally with the department and externally with other departments. These include but are not limited to Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Testing, Purchasing, Marketing, Accounting, etc.
  • Ensure on-time completion of projects and within budget.
  • Coordination with remote engineering centers as required.
  • Work in coordination with the Technical Support and Application Engineering teams to address technical customer issues.
