Our client is in search of an Engineering Laboratory Technician with a robust mechanical inclination, and who is both energetic and meticulous. In this dynamic role, you will team up with peers from engineering design and development to craft, assemble, and evaluate prototype compressors. Moreover, you will collaborate with production assembly and quality to conduct laboratory audit tests on our compressors, ensuring they meet rigorous performance standards. Your dedication to laboratory testing and production auditing will drive our ongoing enhancement and elevate customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design and engineering to create, assemble, and test prototype compressors.
  • Adapt components and assemblies using fundamental laboratory tools.
  • Execute compressor assembly and testing, keeping thorough records.
  • Conduct compressor tests using state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Diagnose HVAC system behaviors, ensuring test stability.
  • Employ advanced tools like oscilloscopes and data acquisition systems.
  • Aid laboratory engineer in equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Uphold a clean and organized workspace.
  • Undertake additional tasks as instructed by Supervisor.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expertise in diagnosing HVAC systems, compressors, and components.
  • Effective organizational and communication skills.
  • Mastery in using basic hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge in brazing, electrical wiring, and data acquisition.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • AAS degree in Mechanical Technology (2-5 years HVAC experience) or High School Diploma (5-10 years HVAC experience).
  • Enthusiasm to collaborate and eagerness to learn.

Work Environment:
This role encompasses duties in both a professional office setting and a manufacturing atmosphere. The position regularly employs standard office tools like computers, phones, and copiers.

Physical Requirements:
Routine tasks include talking, hearing, standing, walking, bending, and manual dexterity. Occasionally, lifting weights up to 50 pounds may be necessary.

  • Subsequently, he or she will oversee all phases of project management and will also evaluate performance at each of those stage to ensure adherence to budget and scope of work.
  • In addition, the Flint Project Manager will work cross-functionally with several team members from the engineering, purchasing, and accounting departments to collaborate on each project phase.
  • The ideal Project Manager will also conduct risk management and develop reports to convey progress and improvements to management.
  • There is minimal travel outside of Flint, Michigan that is required for this job.
  • The Flint Project Manager will perform any additional duties as deemed necessary.
Project Manager Job (Flint Area) Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in project management.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
