The Sales Engineer will primarily identify customer requirements by maintaining daily contact with them and offering technical support and information. Additionally, he or she will be responsible for developing reports by analyzing sales information and engineering trends. The Sales Engineer will work cross-functionally with other departmental managers and other functions at the customer level. Frequently, the Sales Engineer will provide cost estimates for a supervisor and will also be tasked with maintaining current knowledge of the industry by attending workshops and networking activities. For this job, the Sales Engineer will report directly to managers and supervisors and will be responsible for contributing to the profitability of the organization.

  • The first job of the Seattle Sales Engineer is to establish customer requirements by maintaining daily contact with them and offering technical support and information.
  • In addition, he or she will be tasked with developing reports by analyzing sales information and engineering trends.
  • The Seattle Sales Engineer will work closely with other departmental managers and other functions at the customer level.
  • Often, the Sales Engineer will administer cost estimates for a supervisor and will also be responsible for attending seminars and participating in network activities.
  • There is frequent travel outside of the greater Seattle, Washington area that is required for this job.
Sales Engineer (Seattle Area) Job Requirements:
  • A four-year degree in marketing or business-related field from an accredited university.
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering based outside or inside sales.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
