Washington, D.C. Director of Sourcing Overview:
The Director of Sourcing, to be located in the Washington, D.C. Area will primarily be responsible for developing a comprehensive strategy for the sourcing department. This job will manage temporary workers through senior managers and report into c-suite executives. In this job, the Director of Sourcing develops existing supply partnerships while forming new partnerships in a strategic manner. The Washington, D.C. Area Director of Sourcing is responsible for sourcing high-quality raw materials, packaging materials, and contract manufacturing when needed. The Director of Sourcing, in the Greater Washington, D.C. Area works cross-departmentally to ensure sourcing strategies align with overall company financial goals and operations
Washington, D.C. Director of Sourcing Job Opening:
- The Washington, D.C. Based Director of Sourcing develops and executes a global strategic sourcing strategy for the company and its multiple brands.
- This job ensures that all sourcing strategies are in alignment with short-term and long-term financial and operational goals.
- The Director of Sourcing, based in the Greater Washington, D.C. Area will develop a high-quality and high-performing supply chain base by building new partnerships and strengthening existing ones.
- This job develops a highly effective global sourcing team by continuously reevaluating team and sourcing processes using a data driven approach.
- In this role, the Director of Sourcing collaborates with other departmental directors to mitigate risk and continuously improve products and processes.
Director of Sourcing (Washington, D.C. Area) Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required for this job. Master’s degrees preferred.
- At least 12-15 years of global sourcing experience is required for this job.
- Previous experience within the food and beverage industry or consumer goods is necessary for this job.
- A strong business acumen, financial literacy, and P&L experience is required for this job.
- This job requires knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
