Summary:
The Receiving Supervisor oversees all inbound goods that come into the Ecommerce warehouse center. This position is responsible for the receiving the trucks, sorting and tallying, and facilitating the put-away process. The Receiving Supervisor works to train and develop subordinate workers, meet on a daily basis with department heads, associates, and clerks, and continuously improve on safety. The Receiving Supervisor will uphold a strong workplace culture and maintain optimum productivity in the warehouse.
Job Duties:
- This position keeps track of all inbound shipments while carrying out Standard Operational Procedures and making sure that all inbound shipments are received in a prompt and precise reception as written in the Service Requirements.
- Predict shipping loads and prepare resources to help optimize productivity in the warehouse
- Make sure that shipment cases are all accounted for promptly and in accordance with the operations of the Ecommerce Warehouse
- Stay organized when it comes to tracking various inbound shipments
- Train the reception staff on all aspects of shipment reception and keep ancillary departments aware of warehouse activity
- The ECommerce Receiving Supervisor will need to meet daily in order to establish priorities and keep interdepartmental contact open and continuous
- Continuously improve safety in the warehouse and work to take part in the company’s safety policies and procedures
- Mentor and train various team members and part with HR when it comes to hiring/firing, promotions, and interviews
- Facilitate a lean, safe, and clean department that complies with the regulations of OSHA

- This position requires the ability to lead and inspire workers to do their best
- This position will demand creativity in order to solve shipping problems that may arise
- Adept problem solving skills are required
- The ECommerce Receiving Supervisor will need great communication skills (both verbal and written)
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of Distribution/Logistics experience
- The ability to accurately understand and present data in order to respond to and fulfill inquires from managers and customers
- Diagnose issues, gather information, and draw conclusions
- Be able to understand a wide breadth of orders and instructions
