A rapidly expanding company is looking for strong diesel and agricultural mechanics who can help grow their business and facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Service Engineer ll will need to be proficient enough to make an immediate impact for this global company.
Base Responsibilities
The Service Engineer ll will need to provide maintenance and tech support to company product distributors and other internal teams in order to improve product knowledge and practice, productivity of upkeep and service, and general efficiency of operations. This position will require analysis of product quality in order to satisfy customer demand. Another duty will be to give guidance on the mechanical and technical side of the product based on strong knowledge and experience. The Service Engineer ll will also be solely in charge of various special projects
Main Activities
Ø The service engineer needs to give tech support to product suppliers and other company segments over the phone, internet, and other forms of communication. He/she will need to convey proper recommendations and methods on how to resolve product issues.
Ø When appropriate, examine various parts and components from the field in order to discover the primary source of product failures and convey those discoveries to management. In addition to this, the Service Engineer ll will need to come up with various service solutions and methods for the field. This will involve working with the Warranty and Component teams when appropriate.
Ø Keep the company and product distributors posted on various maintenance concerns by utilizing Bulletins, over-the-phone communication, online messages, and additional channels of communication.
Ø Train the product distributors, coworkers, and other company teams on the products, systems, and services of the company.
Ø Help the sales team at events both inside and outside the company by fielding customer inquires and complaints concerning the product
Ø The Service Engineer ll will need to continue to train and expand on knowledge concerning the product by using service reports, customer inquires, bulletins from the engineering team, and other methods of self-learning. Great service engineers will have an active desire to expand their knowledge of the product and want to train on the mechanical and technical aspects of it.
Ø Keep track and investigate advancements of the product in the industry and convey them to coworkers when necessary.
Ø Perform other duties as given by managers/superiors
