The Chicago Director of Operations will oversee operations of the business unit and ensure that the business functions at top efficiency while reaching strategic goals. Oversee the manufacturing area, warehousing, and office staff. Ensure that direct reports carry out activities to reach company goals. Identify areas where costs can be cut and processes can be streamlined.
Chicago Director of Operations Job Opening:
- The Chicago Director of Operations will oversee day to day operations of this location as well as the strategic direction of the location going forward.
- Work with company leadership to develop budgets for the location.
- Annually evaluate budgets, identify areas where costs could be saved.
- The Chicago Director Operations will meet regularly with managers to discuss day to day functions, initiatives, short-term, and long-term goals.
- Work with senior leadership team to determine goals and objectives for the location.
- Take part in the hiring process for select staff members.
Director of Operations (Chicago Area) Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations.
- At least four years of experience in a management position overseeing operations of a multi-functional location
- Familiar with ERP systems.
- Great organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent strategic mindset, strong business acumen, able to develop goals and objectives to improve business functions.
- Strong communication skills, able to connect with team members at every level of the organizations.
