Greenville Manufacturing Engineer Overview:
For this job, the Manufacturing Engineer shall act as both a Manufacturing Engineer and a Project Manager on process improvement projects at the Greenville, South Carolina site. The Manufacturing Engineer shall partner with manufacturing employees, purchasing staff, and supplier to create ideal processes to create custom components that meet TS16494 and ISO14001 quality standards. For this job, the Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with CNC programmers, other manufacturing and design engineers, and others to continuously improve the processes, machines, and software in order to raise quality, lower cost, and improve delivery at the Greenville manufacturing site.
Greenville Manufacturing Engineer Job Opening
- The Manufacturing Engineer will utilize CAD/CAM tools to design more optimized manufacturing processes at the Greenville plant for various job orders.
- Inspect products and equipment to ensure tools are maintained and quality is upheld at the Greenville plant.
- The Manufacturing Engineer will ensure the new design project follow Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
- Analyze and improve manufacturing process through research programs with consideration for product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials. Collaborate with vendors on equipment and seek feedback from operators.
- The Manufacturing Engineer will evaluate product requirements in order to improve the process of manufacturing it.
- Perform research on different methods of manufacturing, design and modify processes, and test processes and equipment.
- The Manufacturing Engineer will consistently improve and refine the efficiently by evaluating work flow, space requirements, and the lay out of equipment.
- Test methods and test products to ensure that standards of quality are met and exceeded.
- Calculate production costs, labor, costs, and material costs in order to make decisions about processes.
- The Manufacturing Engineer will collect, analyze, and summarize information to use in product and process reports.
- Create programs and document all processes on the computer.
- The Manufacturing Engineer will drive completion on development and process improvement projects by coaching and leading technicians.
Manufacturing Engineer (Greenville Area) Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineer, or a related equivalent.
- At least five years of working as a manufacturing engineer or a similar job.
- Comfortable with complexity.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Great leadership skills and able to directly and indirectly supervise others.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a project manager through a record of successful project.
- Understanding of CAD design methods, CNC lathes, CNC mills, other machine tools, and machine tool CNC programming.
- Understanding of and familiarity with hardware specifications, manufacturing methods, quality assurance principles, product development, and presenting technical information to others.
