The Toronto Project Engineer will oversee and manage the engineering duties for assign projects. The Project Engineer will direct project staff and delegate tasks in order to complete the project on time and within the assigned budget. The project engineer will lead the product design process as well as the testing and validation. The Project Engineer will also assist with the launch of the project.

- The Toronto Project engineer will handle the management of assigned projects to develop new products.
- Manage the projected to ensure that all activities necessary occur within the assigned time frame.
- Lead and assist with the product design process.
- Receive product specifications and perform research and development activities.
- The Toronto Project Engineer will oversee the testing and validation process of products to ensure functionality as well as quality.
- Lead the process of prototype builds. Work with purchasing to identify and select suppliers based on quality and cost effectiveness.
- Manage the launch phase.
- Develop product pricing based on materials and manufacturing costs.

Project Engineer (Toronto Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
- At least Seven years of automotive engineering experience.
- At least least three years of related project experience.
- Familiarity with injection molding processes and procedures.
- A proven history of successful project management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work well with a variety of cross functional team members.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
- Lean Six Sigma green or black belt certification would be preferable.
- Familiar with Design for Manufacturability principles.
