The Quality Engineer will need to conduct troubleshooting, continuous improvement, hands-on quality work in a quick manner in order to not hold up production at the Jacksonville, North Carolina plant. Being a high-volume facility, the Quality Engineer will need to be able to rapidly determine the cause of the malfunction at the Jacksonville plant, as it’s imperative that production does not slow down. This Jacksonville job will work to improve manufacturing processes and does not have any direct reports, but will be reporting to the Quality Manager.

- The Quality Engineer will be supporting a safe and productive work environment for fellow employees.
- The job will involve advance quality planning events, as well as shop floor planning and continuous improvement projects.
- The position will conduct audits on systems, machines, components, and processes.
- The Quality Engineer will need to be able to help solve quality problems and quickly relieve incidents on the floor.
- The role will analyze mistakes and work to prevent them from happening multiple times.
- The position will utilize data and reports in order to diagnose quality issues and improve on quality processes.
- The Quality Engineer will use existing systems and manufacturing methods (six sigma and lean manufacturing) in order to bring about abundant improvement through work and purchase orders, etc.
- The role will work with other departments, including engineering, production, and maintenance in order to drive improvement for the quality processes.
- The job will work with external resources as well in order to work within ISO regulations.
Quality Engineer (Jacksonville Area) Job Requirements:
- A 4 year Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably in mechanical and industrial disciplines).
- At least 7 years of job experience in a quality job in a manufacturing environment.
- High energy and tenacity.
- Lean six sigma and other manufacturing methods are strongly preferred for this job.
