  • Must be able to handle responsibilities of developing new products, from conceptualization through end of life.

  • The Project Engineer will collaborate with drafters and 3D modelers to develop initial product designs on CAD software.

  • Lead in equipment selections and design custom equipment as necessary.
  • Develop system components.
  • Choose products to be used. The project engineer will ensure the engineering design meets performance specifications and requirement.

  • Perform other appropriate tasks as directed by the engineering manager.
Project Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
  • A four-year degree from a university in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience with industrial equipment or mechanical systems is preferred, less experienced applicants will be considered.
  • Proficient in design software, particularly AutoCAD and Solidworks.
  • Familiar with the Microsoft office suite of programs such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook.
  • A team-oriented mindset, able to collaborate and communicate with others to improve a project and reach a goal.
