Assistant General Manager – Rail Operations

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager – Rail Operations (AGMRO) to provide leadership and oversight of all railroad train operations. This role reports directly to the General Manager and carries the primary responsibility for managing and coordinating the performance of train crews—including locomotive engineers, conductors, and first-level managers such as DSLEs, trainmasters, and related staff (e.g., crew callers and crew cutting personnel).   • Represent the sales team in executive-level meetings and strategic planning initiatives

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on retail channels
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performance sales teams
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with major retail accounts
  • Deep understanding of retail operations, supply chains, and sales analytics

Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)

  • Sales Leadership or Strategic Sales Management certifications
  • Training in retail analytics or category management
  • Executive education in leadership or sales strategy
