A major engineering and logistics services company seeks Human Resources Manager to assist in building a strong work force and superior Human Resources department. Human Resources Manger Overview:
The main priority of the Human Resources Manager will be to ensure the safety and health of employees by making everyone aware of the policies and procedures that govern day to day activities. Additionally, the HR manager will use directives and hiring to build a strong and efficient workforce, especially the HR department. The Human resources manager will also be a driving force in company culture, fostering an environment that is employee-focused and continuously improving with minimal turnover.
Human Resources Manger Job Opening:
- Create and enact plans for HR to assist company growth. This includes all recruitment practices, disciplinary procedures, employee counseling and grievances, contracts and pay, coaching and training employees, fostering a positive culture, employee reviews, and quality issues.
- Create and administer systems for measuring HR development.
- Record and track all HR issues.
- Ensure that departments’ expenses do not exceed the departmental budgets laid out.
- Work to ensure that all standards of quality management, health, legal regulations, and environmental safety regulations.
- Oversee the recruitment of new candidates for job openings, interview those candidates, and select the best candidate for the vacancy.
- Keep a list of employees and a record of employee seniority.
- Track employee productivity compared to production requirements.
- Keep record of employee vacations, ensuring that all functions are performed with people absent.
- Onboard new employees and create an early positive impression about company goals and guarantee new employees understand internal policies and procedures.
- Maintain a record of all hiring, promotions, transfers, evaluations, and employee terminations.
- Keep record in the OSHA log and conduct safety audits. Perform inquiries into accidents and provide reports on such accidents for insurance.
- Follow wage surveys to offer competitive compensation to candidates and employees.
- Plan and suggest actions to curb turnover and employees missing work.
- Serve as a representative for the company at hearings as necessary.
- Serve as a representative for the company during labor negotiations; take part in grievance hearings.
- Create and oversee all incentive programs and events the company puts on.
- Craft and enact strategies to train and improve the staff.
- Create and oversee employee training programs.
- Evaluate and select insurance programs.
- Respond to and evaluate Unemployment claims.
- Administer personnel files.
Job Requirements:
- Four year university or college degree, or a minimum of four years HR experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
- Advanced reading skills to be able to identify nuances and niceties in business publications and government regulations.
- Experience writing reports, business correspondence, and manuals on policies.
- Exceptional communication abilities to convey information and respond to inquiries from a variety of colleagues, superiors, and direct reports.
- Thorough understanding of the uses and applications of a computer for work.
- Advanced problem solving skills and comfortable functioning in a wide range of scenarios.
- Interpret instructions given in written, oral, or diagram presentations.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing facility.
- General mobility and able to walk, stand, and sit. Able to lift at least ten pounds.
