Ann Arbor Manager of Engineering Overview:
The Manager of Engineering will oversee the development of the research and analysis of specialized technology relating to the company’s flagship products. The position will be tasked with coaching, mentoring, and training of Research Engineers in the company. The Manager of Engineering will report to the Engineering Director and will have several direct reports.

- For this job, the Ann Arbor Manager of Engineering must establish yearly goals for the research engineers, department employees, and design technicians.
- Additionally, the Manager of Engineering must head up all analytical calculations for the company’s primary products.
- The Ann Arbor Manager of Engineering will research competitor products and patents in order to give the company an idea of industry standards and regulations.
- The position will report to the Executive Management for updates on budgetary status of various products.
- The role help maintain the company’s Research and Development departments.
- The Ann Arbor Manager of Engineering will take on any additional jobs as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
- There is a moderate amount of travel required for this position.
Manager of Engineering (Ann Arbor Area) Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree (mechanical preferred) is required for this position.
- Master’s degree is preferred for this position.
- At least seven years of experience in design engineering in the automotive industry is required for this job.
- Proficiency with various CAD software is required for this job.
- Knowledge of and experience with GD&T (geometric distancing and tolerancing).
