- The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will work with management to understand the goals, purpose, and parameters of a desired manufacturing system then go about developing designs to meet those requirements.
- Organize and execute engineering projects and assignments with a great level of technical difficulty for each job.
- The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will assist in studies to estimate costs of proposed projects and advocate improvements.
- Create tooling lineup and standards.
- The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and release dates.
- Utilize test equipment to evaluate the processes with precise measurements and observations.
- The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will follow standard methods to complete assignments.
- Keep record of how projects were completed for each manufacturing job.
- The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will propose changes, improvements, or modifications about production methods or the materials used.
- Help technicians set up, interpreting instructions, and understanding design requirements.
- The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will keep current with trends and innovations in plastics manufacturing processes and engine management systems.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Flint Area) Job Requirements:
- Work with little supervision on complex programs which require different sorts of equipment and instruments.
- Exceptional electromechanical skills.
- A minimum of an associate’s degree in a mechanical or electronic technical discipline is required for this job.
- Three to five years experience working in an manufacturing facility on blow molding processes.
- Job experience working with Krupp Kautex multilayered, parason transfer machines is a significant plus for this job.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, and frequently carry around 30 pounds.
- Ability to move in, under, and around in a manufacturing facility on a daily basis. Will need to have a great range of motion.
- Comfortable working at a computer with standard office software.
- Comfortable communicating over the phone.
- Willingness to move between factory, office, and lab environments day to day.
- Willingness to tolerate exposure to varying levels of heat, cold, moisture, and (safe—sometimes with PPE) fumes.
- Some travel to plants, vendors, and customer sites outside of greater Flint, Michigan.
