  • For this job, the Engineering Supervisor will primarily be investigating product liability claims and work to create a solution to rectify them at the Detroit plant.
  • The Engineering Supervisor will work with the legal team to develop a defense strategy for litigated claims.
  • The role will also participate in legal and settlement negotiations.
  • The Engineering Supervisor will additionally participate in Product Liability and Recovery efforts.
  • The role will serve as a SME for various facets of the product, including design, quality, and marketing.
  • For this job, the Engineering Supervisor will work on Research and Design projects.
  • The Engineering Supervisor will assume any additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
  • There is 50% travel required for this position.

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a strong preference in Mechanical Engineering.

  • At least two years of leadership experience, ideally in an engineering role.
  • Knowledge and ability to use the Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to adhere to a deadline.

  • The Reliability Manager will review and ensure the safety of all activities and processes within the Indianapolis facility.
  • Develop improvements to the maintenance process within the facility.
  • Direct, mentor, and coach the reliability technician team.
  • The reliability manager will lead equipment safety checks throughout the facility.
  • Utilize predictive technologies to evaluate issues. Develop corrective action plans.
  • Train personnel in the reliability best practices.
  • Lead reliability staff to properly upkeep all equipment.
  • The reliability manager will assist in the final check out of newly installed equipment and processes within the Indianapolis manufacturing facility.
  • Perform other functions as directed by the plant manager.
Reliability Manager (Indianapolis Area) Job Requirements:
  • A four year degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering would be preferred.
  • Possession of Reliability Centered Maintenance Practitioner certification would be preferred for this position.
  • Three to five years of experience in a position utilizing Reliability Based Maintenance.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience managing a team.
  • Familiarity implementing and developing CMMS systems.
  • An understanding of predictive technologies.
  • Job experience in using statistical techniques to plan maintenance and test equipment.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Great interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Proven leader. Good with delegating, mentoring, and training staffing.
