Detroit Engineering Supervisor Overview:
For this job, the Detroit Engineering Supervisor needs to provide technical, expert, and innovative solutions to augment the company’s products. The Engineering Supervisor will oversee all of the major aspects of the engineering teams. He or she will collaborate with a variety of departments including quality, actuarial, and product development. The Engineering Supervisor will be reporting to the Director of Engineering. The Detroit Engineering Supervisor will have several direct reports.
Detroit Engineering Supervisor Job Opening
- For this job, the Engineering Supervisor will primarily be investigating product liability claims and work to create a solution to rectify them at the Detroit plant.
- The Engineering Supervisor will work with the legal team to develop a defense strategy for litigated claims.
- The role will also participate in legal and settlement negotiations.
- The Engineering Supervisor will additionally participate in Product Liability and Recovery efforts.
- The role will serve as a SME for various facets of the product, including design, quality, and marketing.
- For this job, the Engineering Supervisor will work on Research and Design projects.
- The Engineering Supervisor will assume any additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
- There is 50% travel required for this position.
Engineering Supervisor (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree with a strong preference in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least five years of experience in the product development field.
- At least two years of leadership experience, ideally in an engineering role.
- Knowledge and ability to use the Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with driving continuous improvement for an organization.
- Ability to adhere to a deadline.
