  • Be able to close on a client within the market that will reach but not exceed budget and will meet the needs of the client.
  • Seek out potential customers and be able to contact regularly and give formal or informal presentations.
  • Connect efficiently and regularly with top management regarding quotations and the position of your activity.
  • Be able to build relationships with any contact and keep a good business relationship with those contacts.
  • Preparing and reporting sales activity reports as requested.

The Director of Quality will have a bevy of responsibility to tackle, as the company is currently experiencing intense job growth and wants to continue manufacturing goods that meet compliance and customer job specifications. Detroit Director of Quality Overview: 

The Director of Quality will be directing all of the quality assurance functions of the Detroit, Michigan manufacturing plant for this job. He or she will need to establish a quality assurance system that complies with organizational goals as well as customer job specifications and demands. Additionally, the Director of Quality will need to champion continuous improvement efforts down all levels of the quality assurance department at the Detroit plant. The Director of Quality is going to have several direct reports and will be leading the entire Detroit, Michigan quality department. The Director of Quality will report directly to the organization’s Director of Operations, who is also based in Detroit, Michigan.

  • The Director of Quality comes up with quality assurance activities as he or she sees as appropriate for the company.
  • The role will motivate, train, and improve the direct reports to improve their impact on the company’s Detroit quality management system.
  • The position will integrate and improve a quality management system for the job.
  • The Director of Quality will manage several quality control personnel while on the job.
  • The role must support a safe and environmentally efficient plant.
  • The position will come up with quality metrics for the quality assurance personnel to meet on a monthly basis.
  • The Director of Quality will institute corrective and preventative policies for issues that arise with product quality.

  • The position must interact with suppliers and vendors when it comes to quality specifications.
  • The Director of Quality does not need to travel and will complete ancillary tasks as given by the Director of Operations.
Director of Quality (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required for this job.
  • At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing, plastics, and injection molding.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to lead would benefit the Director of Quality.
