Toronto Program Manager Overview:
The Toronto Program Manager will oversee a cross functional team of personnel to develop new products from development through production launch. The Toronto Program Manager will assign tasks throughout the team in order to meet deadlines on or ahead of schedule. The Program Manager will also ensure that the program remains under the allotted budget. The Program Manager will meet with senior management regularly to report on program progress and provide relevant information.

- The Toronto Program Manager with manage and guide personnel on the assigned program.
- Monitor the build of prototypes.
- Take part in the development of engineering documents.
- The Toronto Program Manager will lead and oversee the research and development phase of the program. Based on product specification and applications, develop potential designs.
- Assist in the testing and design validation processes to ensure the product meets specifications as well as quality standards.
- Identify and record recognition of issues found during prototype build process.
- The Toronto Program Manager will ensure all products are designed in the most manufacturable way.
- Participate and guide the process of developing tooling for prototypes.
- Develop guides for assembling the prototype.
- Work closely with manufacturing personnel throughout the prototype build process.
- Develop cost quotes and determine the feasibility of designs.
- Lead the engineering change process and handle all pre-production sign offs.
- Perform duties as directed by senior managers.
Program Manager (Toronto Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in the field of engineering, preferably mechanical, from an accredited institution.
- At least five years of experience automotive parts engineering experience.
- Familiar with injection molding processes and procedures.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organization skills, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with concurrent deadlines.
- Lean six sigma training or certification would be preferable for this role.
- Familiar with automotive supply sourcing and purchasing.
- Able to administer a budget.
