Our client is in search of a seasoned Automation Engineer who will leverage their expertise in electrical, computer, mechanical, and robotics engineering to enhance manufacturing processes. The chosen candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams to implement new equipment, update software systems, engineer safety improvements, and introduce cutting-edge technological solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety engineering assessments, investigate accidents, and enforce safety protocols.
  • Develop and manage the design of automated manufacturing processes with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and production output.
  • Identify opportunities for the application of industry best practices in automation, error-proofing, and testing methodologies, as well as during new product development.
  • Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot robotics and electro-mechanical equipment, including programming PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley), testing digital platforms, and analyzing circuits and signals.
  • Collaborate with strategic business units to facilitate the implementation of new products.
  • Offer technical support for existing production lines, aiming to enhance quality and production rates.
  • Work in tandem with maintenance, production, engineering, materials, and quality departments to optimize production line uptime and product quality.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an automation technology discipline.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on automation engineering experience within a manufacturing setting.
  • Profound knowledge of quality assurance, general statistics, Lean Six Sigma, data analysis, and process improvement techniques.
  • Proficiency in PLC controlled automation, robotics, and diagnostic troubleshooting in a continuous process or production environment.
  • Solid understanding of automated vision inspection systems.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • A minimum of 5 years in an Automation Engineer role, preferably with an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.

Sacramento Maintenance Technician Overview:

The Maintenance Technician will perform repairs and insure upkeep of manufacturing equipment in the Sacramento plant. This job is responsible for the specification, design, and implementation of equipment and systems utilized in the Sacramento plant. Controls knowledge in this role should include an understanding of PLC’s, motion-control devices, AC/DC motors, Stepper/Servo Motors, and Vector drive motors. This job will require documenting wiring schematics and other control programs for the production equipment. It is important for the Maintenance Technician to conceptualize, create, and document all electrical circuit wiring and PLC programs designed for the production equipment in the Sacramento facility. 

Sacramento Maintenance Technician Job Opening

  • Maintenance Technician designs programs for programmable logic controllers according to process specifications for production equipment.
  • This job wires all programmable logic controllers into production equipment making sure to label all circuit wiring and document all programs that have been designed for the equipment in the Sacramento plant.
  • This job ensures continuous compliance to OSHA guidelines and the NEC code by inspecting current PLC’s used on the production floor.
  • The Maintenance Technician will discuss possible trouble shooting of malfunctions with equipment operators to approve upon operational efficiency.

  • This job requires a minimum of 5 years working knowledge in the design and automation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited degree granting institution.

  • This role evaluates advanced automation and control technology to solve technical problems in the production process.
