A manufacturer in metro Chicago that has thrived across several industries and markets for more than 50 years is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to enhance relationships with current customers while building the company’s book of business with new opportunities.
The best regional sales managers will be able to hit the ground running and really grow the company’s sales base while building on and expanding the sales territory. The position offers a very competitive salary for the candidate who can really help take the company to the next level.
Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager will act as a point of contact between members of the internal group and customers you work with to provide support to all parties and exceed the expectations of the customers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage a specified base of customers.
- Manage sales representatives and their activities around a specific region.
- Based off of company strategy be able to execute a strategy for the region.
- Support product management as necessary.
- Provide top management with status reports as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Top Goals:
- Consistently look for year-over-year (YOY) double-digit sales growth.
- Consistently look to increase profitable sales year-over-year.
- Always look to grow customer base and sales.
Job Qualifications and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and/or business or a discipline similar to these is preferred.
- Business to Business (B2B) sales experience is required.
- Account management experience is a big plus.
- Five to seven years of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning experience is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills & a positive attitude will be great benefits to this position.
- Demonstrated desire to continuously learn, drive, and ability to a team player.
- Strong social skills that will help build client relationships.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and keep up with the pace of frequently changing workloads.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet while contributing to a final solution for a job order.
- A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with creating sales strategies, account management, and building customer relationships.
- Experience in managing a sales region/territory will add a great amount of value to this position.
- Knowledge in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is a plus.
- Contacts within the region/territory will be heavily preferred.
