- Introduce the company to assigned customers. The Senior Account Manager Develop contacts at all assigned customers and foster strong relationships within the Detroit area.
- Create sales with new customers and improve the sales relationship with existing customers. Introduce customers to new products and educate them about its uses.
- The Senior Account Manager will research and pursue new business opportunities while working out of Detroit, Michigan.
- Relay product suggestions for customers to appropriate personnel.
- Complete assessments of products, compare offered products to competitors’ products and highlight the benefits of the differences.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver customer presentations.
- The Senior Account manager will research, develop, and implement new sales and marketing strategies to meet business plan goals and objectives within the Detroit region.
- Collaborate with Program managers to keep within cost controls for projects with assigned customers while meeting specifications.
- Perform other appropriate duties as necessary to meet department goals.
Senior Account Manager (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a four year degree from an accredited institution.
- Possession of a Masters of Business Administration is preferred for this Detroit, Michigan job.
- At least five years of experience selling to automotive OEM accounts.
- A driven, proactive mindset.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural organization.
- Familiarity with the sourcing process of Automotive OEM’s, especially with new technologies.
- Able to identify decision makers at different levels of an organization.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Great presentation skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
- A natural, proven leader.
