We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, drive operational excellence, and lead teams in achieving business objectives. This leadership role is responsible for improving productivity, optimizing processes, ensuring quality and safety standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with strong operational, financial, and people management experience.
Position Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
- Oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that support organizational goals.
- Monitor performance metrics and drive initiatives to improve operational results.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and operational staff.
- Establish performance expectations and provide coaching to maximize employee success.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and safety-focused work environment.
- Support workforce planning, hiring, and employee development initiatives.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven decision-making.
- Implement best practices to reduce costs, improve productivity, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor operational KPIs and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Financial & Resource Management
- Manage departmental budgets and operational expenses.
- Optimize labor, equipment, and resource utilization.
- Support forecasting, capacity planning, and long-term operational planning.
- Ensure efficient inventory, procurement, and asset management practices where applicable.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and other departments to achieve business objectives.
- Support strategic projects, operational improvements, and organizational initiatives.
- Communicate operational performance and recommendations to executive leadership.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Significant experience in operations, manufacturing, or business management.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of operational planning, budgeting, process improvement, and performance management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Certified Manager (CM)
- OSHA Safety Certification
