Detroit Territory Manager Overview:
The Detroit Territory Manager will direct and develop the territory’s sales team. The Territory Manager will determine what strategies the team will execute in order to reach sales and other performance targets. The Detroit Territory Manager will partner with Account Managers and travel throughout the territory to visit current and prospective customers. The Detroit Territory Manager will work with key clients to provide unique equipment for customer applications.

- The Detroit Territory Manager will determine sales strategies and targets for the sales staff within the territory.
- Identify key customer accounts where business could be expanded to improve the partnership.
- Assign customer accounts to account managers to serve as primary points of contact.
- The Detroit Territory Manager will take part in and lead customer visits and presentations.
- Work closely with key accounts to solidify partnerships and anticipate opportunities to provide solutions.
- Provide leadership and assistance to account managers as necessary.
- The Detroit Territory Manager will lead market research to identify prospective customers.

- Evaluate and assess sales staff within the territory.

Territory Manager (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- At least 10 years of industrial automated equipment.
- At least four years of sales experience.
- Great written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong active listening skills.
- Strong presentation skills, able to persuade groups and individuals.
- A high level of confidence.
- Proven ability to develop a sales teams.
- Able to drive performance of a team to reach a goal.
- A charismatic, energetic personality.
- Strong organizational abilities, able to manage information concerning several key client accounts.
- Exceptional leadership skills.
