The Chicago Supply Chain Planning Manager will handle sales, inventory, and operations planning processes. The Chicago Supply Chain Planning Manager will supervise, direct, and mentor the buyers and planners based out of the greater Chicago area office. This position will require the Supply Chain Planning Manager to create policies, procedures, and processes to improve the functionality and efficiency of the company’s supply chain.

- The Chicago Supply Chain Planning Manager Create, enact, and improve the sales, inventory, and operations planning processes.
- Oversee, direct, and mentor the buying and demand forecasting personnel in the greater Chicago office.
- Evaluate and identify areas for improvement in the forecasting policies and procedures.
- The Chicago Supply Chain Planning Manager will research and identify the ideal quantity for product loads.
- Develop and monitor key metrics related to the process and the out put of the supply chain. Ensure that forecasts are accurate and the supplies reach destinations on time.
- Regularly evaluate the open order report and take part in weekly phone calls on the report.
- The Chicago Supply Chain Planning Manager will keep track of the deployment of inventory across multiple distribution centers.
- Take part in the management of the SKU system.
- Develop and implement a training process for planners and buyers.
Supply Chain Planning Manager (Chicago Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in business or a related field from an accredited university.
- At least ten years of demand planning and/or purchasing experience.
- At least five years of experience in a management role for a planning and purchasing department.
- Familiarity with Microsoft office suite of products.
- A high level of familiarity with DRP and ERP systems, as well as previous experience implementing systems.
- Excellent organization skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Experience with consumer goods.
